After running around all week at work, I can hardly wait to put my long weekend plan into practice........
DO NOTHING! (well, except drink good wine, eat good food, and play guitar)
Happy Victoria Day weekend everyone!!:food-smiley-004:

Expecting rain here. Then again,
it's not a true May 2-4 weekend
unless you pack a wet tent into your
trunk on a Monday afternoon.

Every year at this time people seem to suffer from selective amnesia.
Every year, people go camping, and every year.....it rains.
Doesn't mean you can't enjoy the time off. I plan to.
Have a good one everybody.:smilie_flagge17:

Better than the snow we had a couple of years ago. I came across the Bay Quinte Bridge and it was snowing sideways. Sandbanks..more like snowbanks.
I canceled my sailing plans for this weekend. Wonder if the lawnmower will start?

You DO know that you can have your passport and citizenship revoked for calling it "Victoria Day" don't you?

FWIW, my plans are pretty much identical to yours, with a little carnal knowledge thrown in for good measure.

May 2-4 used to land on the same weekend as my birthday way back when it was Victoria Day. For some reason, my holiday weekend is on my birthday again :smilie_flagge17:.

Great weather for a change--well maybe too hot.
But a very good weekend.

for us Easterners: the 24th of may falls on Sat.24th. which is a weekend. The powers that be have a silly rule that the monday has to be before the 24th or on the exact day......because of their foolishness millions of $ has been lost "locally" due to having it a week earlier.....I know I shouldn't have, but I just checked my local weather for the up-coming weekend......temps of 18 deg C to 21 deg C.........versus this past weekend temps of 13 deg C, with rain and wind, evenings of 5 deg C, not including the wind chill....figures...rant/rant/rant.....even my beer consumption was below expectations......glad you westerners fared OK
cheers

And they knew before hand which weekend would have better weather?

Nah, weather is always iffy....but...in Ont. we've had snow in may, as in other provinces, and the closer to the end of may is a better "call" than the middle of May.....I'm just grumpy....last 3 weekends have had rain...

Well the weather is going to be worse this weekend than last--or so it looks as of today.
So it worked out for us down this way.
