Alrighty...

So I can't find all the replacement parts I would need to move the firebird from gold to chrome/nickel hardware. Because of this, I am wondering what the process would be to remove the gold plating? This would be cheapest as I would only have to buy new tuning machines, instead of tuning machines, pickups, bridge tc...

I need to replace the pickup selector switch as it is really noisy and loses it's connection quite frquently. Any suggestions for brands of switches?

Or, is there a non-trem bridge that I could put on the firebird instead?

Thanks!

Hey again...

So I found out that the bridge/tailpiece on my Firebird is the Maestro one...I have seen it in chrome on SG's. However, yet again, I cannot find a source for replacement Maestro tailpieces. Anyone have any idea where I can get one?

Also, anyone have any thoughts on the original questions?

Put the strings through the body where they will be hidden if you put the maistro back on. You will see then in the back, but it is a simple solution.

I like the gold with the red myself...
