Guitar Hero WANTS you to play guitar

So i was in Chapters the other day looking through the music section when i came across this thick book with the Guitar Hero cover on it.... Its a guitar tab book.. with a tag line something like "Learn to play all of your favourite Guitar Hero songs!"

I dont know what to think of it.. at least they are trying to get you to play the real thing........?

Guitar Hero is doing that? I thought Hal Leonard is doing that. Or they both are...In any event it's just to make as much money as possible off the craze before something eclipses it. There's no higher purpose.

Isn't profit and dividend the single purpose of any business enterprise???? The market for Piano/Vocal/Guitar books is less than 10% of what it was 15 years ago. 115 years ago it was possible to have a million seller in print music.

Not any more.

Without a healthy music publishing system, (and that system is changing, but must be healthy), there is no commerical music period.
