First of all thanks to everyone that helped me out in my search for a LPDC. It was a lot of fun. I talked seriously with about 15 sellers and for various reasons I settled on this one.
The seller is from Edmonton and I am the third owner
Bare in mind that this guitar was suffering from neglect misuse more than anything... as opposed to being played a lot. It was dirty, fretboard was snotted up pretty good down by the first 3 frets. It needed some TLC and a set up. I also gave it a high quality Wenol carnuba waxing... just brought the top out fantastically... I bet Bredan wishes he kept itnow... LOL

Pictures hardly do it justice... there are blacks, grey, blue, copper and beige in the top...

Very nice ! . Amazing what some spit and polish can do
You can use various types of Meguiar's auto polishes to remove scratches in the finish . There are different types for light to fairly severe and then other products just to bring up the shine.
I like that...almost talked myself into one a few years ago.
Went back and it was gone.

Here is mine, I think I got this one aroung 99'. Would have to check my records to make sure. They are a great guitar IMO and much cheaper than it's more famous cousin.

+1 on Meguires. Dan Erlewine recommends it in his books.
FYI the Fender polish kit includes Meguires swirl remover.

My thumb always protests once I get above the 15th fret on a standard Les Paul. The future holds promise that I might get a DC or a Hamer Studio, although, I do love the feel of an SG.
It's just that after five years, Princess Money Pit finally finished her placement requirement for here three year biz diploma. She's been offered a contract position because she did so well. Now that I don't have to help out with car/insurance payments, I can get the roof reshingled,... and then I can put pennies aside for this

Hamer make incredible guitars... just played a Standard last week with a killer flame top... just incredible.
I've never used Meguires... I'll have to check it out for the project gutar. I need something to buff up the top coat.
Cheers
Craig
