Okay, I'm well aware of the fact that I have just got my first guitar and therefore will be incredibly unknowledgable about ANYTHING...But...

The guitar I just got handed down from my uncle is real old....not stylishly old, just old (1993 was when it was first bought).

I'm about 100% sure it's a mega-beginner guitar, but I can't find any info whatsoever on it on the internet. It's just a simple red-gloss finish guitar by Samick, and the number on the back is YJ-560TR. I have no idea otherwise about this guitar, because all I got with it was....the guitar. No info from my uncle, either....

I might have pics to come, so any help would be appreciated

what exactly are you trying to find out? is it a lower end guitar? yes. samick was (and might now be again after restructuring) the largest guitar manufacturer on the planet. they're korean made, and generally pretty OK in terms of quality (the pickups are often pretty bad) and finsh. as long as you enjoy playing it, it will be fine for a learner instrument... getting a pro setup would be a good investment, probably (the best tech in calgary is jim mozell at axe music... miles at fretworks also does good work). either of these guys will tell you if it doesn't need anything.

Thanks, man. I was just really wondering what it was.

Axe is a pretty good place....I got my keyboard there, too. My other uncle also works at an axe store way the hell and gone in like ontario, but he's coming to visit, so I might ask him some stuff.

Plus, I have no amp :P

Pretty sad, I know...

But I never recommend Samick.
