I know that a lot of you guys must enjoy fishing.

To Me, it is second only to guitar. Fishing is the epitome of relaxation.

I need to find some more fishing spots near my house, as most of the places I go range from 1 hour to 5 hours away, and I'm looking for like 20 minutes!

So If anyone knows of good fishing spots for Bass, Brook Trout, anything that isnt garbage (Carp IMHO), tell me where to go!

and share your stories! Fishing stories are always good:smilie_flagge17:

I like fishing but it seems like everything else it has become too complicated and expensive .
I always liked going to Gananoque at Murry's cottages on hwy#2 renting a cottage for a week and having a boat. Some great spots around there and lots to see and do as well .

I miss it .

It's not that expensive, well, loading your tackle box up after someone in your house loses it (I'll Find Out Who...). but Canadian Tire has decent rods with line already on them for like $40, then get a pack of 12 hooks for $4, maybe buy some weights for $3/4, the dig in the backyard for worms and you've got a good day for $50 :rockon2:

Man I love fishing !

Glad to see you guys do as well !

Here in Montreal, theres not many good places to fish cuz of the dirty crap water. But in the summer, I go up north (Quebec) to go for some fresh water fishing. Mostly go for smallmouth bass, pike and the occasional trout.

Two years ago, I went to Florida with some buddies. We drove to a pier in Miami and starting fishing. We caught tons of bluefish (3-4 lbs range) and baby bonnethead sharks (look very similar to hammerheads). Anyway, after a few hours of fishing, I noticed a hugggge figure in the water just below the pier. So I yelled " Shaaark" to my friends. When they came, the figure popped out the water, and it was a: Bottlenose Dolphin !! It must have been like 350 lbs !!!! I couldn't believe it came all the way to the shore. Very rare sighting. Too bad it was dark outside, so I didn't get a great look at it. But I saw the head really well.

Common guys lets keep this thread going !!!!

I fish, therefore I am. Mostly Georgian Bay (where my cottage is) and Lake Huron (as I live near it).

Fish worship, is it wrong?

Peace, Mooh.

Well, now that we have a camp, I am planning to do a little fishing but I HATE FISH! (not much of a maritimer - I know). I would love to be able to catch a nice one and cook it up on a campfire on the beach in a cast iron frypan but I ain't eatin' it.

Maybe I should just get the hypnotist guy to re-program me, on second thought, maybe not....

I dunno....to me fishing is just a jerk on one end of a line waiting for a jerk on the other end of the line.
