Does anyone know much about them? I know a 65 year old man who I met 20 years ago and he had this lefty cherry burst Ibanez LP?
I contacted him a year ago about buying it, but he told me that he recalled paying around $700 for the guitar in the 70's and he was asking me for $1000!
I figured he was full of it, but I'm still interested in this guitar (NOT a lawsuit model)
you might find some good info over there..

Thanks. that' a pretty cool site.
I'm going to email him once more and get him to send me a pic and serial number, still I KNOW that $1000 is a rip off but I'm a bit of a sucker for old lefties...

if that guitar has a set neck, then $1000 is a very fair price for that guitar, sight unseen... older ibanez(i?) are steadily climbing in value for a good reason, they're really nice guitars.. also, you'll notice you haven't been able to stop thinking about it, lol..

It's a '78 Ibanez PF 200. $1000, but it is a 30 year old lefty...
Looks like it has a bolt on neck. Here's a pic from Google.
If I can only find a buyer for my DeArmond I'd buy it today...

The lawsuits are great though and easily worth that money. Still have the bruises from kicking myself for not buying a 70s Ibanez korina V for $400 in Kyoto years ago. (well, that and a 1980 Gibson LP Heritage for $1000 :-(

I have been into Ibanez for years. Artist models were some of there nicest , I have owned and sold a few. They sell in the $1000.00 range as well. It always seemed to that when they stopped making copies the quality really improved. Good luck .
