Around the begining of April I bought a 92 PRS CE24 from this guy off another popular forum. I had some troubles getting him to ship (9 days after purchase to be exact). I thought I was being scammed for sure but I paid by Paypal so I figured the worst that could happen would be that I'd have to file a claim and wait a couple of months to get my money back. To make a long story short, after he finally got around to shipping it, it ended up sitting in customs for a couple or 3 weeks until today.

The thing that sold me on this one was the faded grey/black finish that is now many shades of brown with a strange silver/blue purple tint to it. I'd seen a few faded PRS finishes in the past and always thought it made them unique because it's like having the coolest colour that's not available on a new guitar. And let me tell you......this thing is like new. It's like the guy never played it. Unfortunately, during shipping, the trem bar slipped out of the compartment in the case and put 1 slight ding on the top and one on the neck. No big deal really but they are the only 2 marks on a 16 year old guitar. The one time the seller said he took it out of the house, he took it to a PRS event and had Paul sign it himself. It does have some mods. He switched the 5 way for a 3 way and push/pull pot but sent the old harness along with it. Also, it has an alder body and wide/thin neck. So far I've only played it for a hour but the neck feels great and isn't as big of a deal switching from wide/fat as I was led to believe. It seems some people play one or the other???
It was a long wait but well worth it. Now I'm going to play the shit out of it.
