The 9th annual Blues Clinic is here, and I finally am going! Can't wait, and I hope it's the first of many for me. If anybody is curious what it's about, check out their website:

Looks like alot of relaxing fun. Always a hoot going to the small islands and mingling with the hippies. It's like it never changed from the old days.To bad ferry prices are so high now.

Y'know what, Geezer? BC Ferries has a preloaded card you can get now. If you keep a minimum $75 balance on it, you get a BIG discount on all their routes except the big ones between Vancouver Island and the mainland. We used to buy books of prepaid tickets for our trips over to Hornby, and this card with the minimum balance is basically the same thing, except the card fits in your wallet, instead of having to root around in the glovey for the books of tickets. And you can use the same card for all their smaller ferries. Just a thought if it helps you get a cheaper trip to the islands once in a while.

We moved to Salt Spring last year and love it for that very reason. Although with the influx of BIG MONEY--it was so hard to find anything that was even just too expensive rather than "absolutely no way what do you think I am made of money?"--I'm not sure how long it will last. Sure love these Gulf Islands.
This blues thing looks interesting...
