Before this gets moved...it is a "guitar" and it does have a pickup so it must be an "electric" guitar

Looks great - tell us more about it? I've been looking at picking up a lap steel. I think the pedals and levers of a pedal steel would be more than my little brain could comprehend.

Ah... where the heck is the Super Reverb? Or you got a line on a new trend i.e. grunge steel?

It counts in my book and I will defend to the death or removal your right to post here .... as long as you play it

It's a 1991 Sierra Crown 10 string/E9 tuning with 3 pedals and 5 knee levers. I haven't played in a few years and my brain is going numb trying to get it back again. Should be a fun journey though.

Since this is a steel thread, here is Joe Wright (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ov3ZFoE-FII) doing House of the Rising Sun and making better faces that most blues players.

My brain almost explodes if I even think about it, let alone if I ever tried...

I've never been one to pigeonhole my music interests or playing style. Nothing like sitting in with a "country" band and end up playing ZZ Top and Led Zeppelin by the end of the night. Pedal steel has always been a favorite instrument of mine because the boundaries can be limitless. Country, rock, blues, jazz, metal...who cares, just play and have fun.

As for the guitar, I found it for sale in Penticton. After hearing incredible reports(mint, immaculate, etc.) from a few others that knew the guitar, I decided to investigate. A few phone calls and emails back and forth with the seller and the deal was done. I didn't even have to worry about courier companies. A friend of the seller, also a steel player, was making a trip down to Vancouver so he personally delivered it.

Feels great to be back. Now I just have to convince my hands, knees and feet to co-operate.
