Right on Michelle!
Gorgeous bike. My wife wants one
of those too (used to own an '84 750).

It came with a whole bunch of extra parts, some custom, some stock, a whole extra exhaust. Has just under 11000Km. Gonna remove the crash bars and maybe the floor boards.
Had it out last nite, so good to be back on a bike. I figured I'd better do it now since I will be retired within the next 2yrs. :)

Retired?!?!
You seem a bit young to retire, but congratulations!
Nice bike by the way. Is it a Honda?

Thanks for the comments MM. Yes, it's a Honda. To tell the truth, I will reach a milestone b-day this year, rhymes with 'nifty'. On Mar 20, 2010, I will have 30yrs in here at the phone co, that makes me eligible for full pension which I believe I can actually live on.
Sorry that you miss your bike Starbuck, I felt that way for the last 5yrs, you will get another.

Well again congratulations on both geting a beautiful bike and also for working for the same company for thirty years. As you must know, that's a very rare claim these days. I've been where I am for almost fifteen years so I know what it takes.
By the way, one of my biggest customers is Honda and I've been in their plants all over the world. Their quality is second to none in my opinion, as is their design paradigm.

Niiiiiiiiiiiice! I sure wish I knew how to drive one of those. I thought of taking lessons. I sure love riding on the back!
Anyway, congrats on the bike and the 'nifty-*****' part too! Trust me, once you get over the initial shock, it's not so bad. I just turned nifty-***** on April 1 and I'm okay now.

Maybe reconsider. It may not be esthetically pleasing but..
crash bars are there for safety. Even if you don't drop it
while riding, it may tip over someday (like nephews and such
mucking around on it). I personally prefer floor boards over
foot pegs. Do they feel uncomfortable to you?

Actually liking the floorboards now Laristotle, more relaxed feet positioning. I understand about the crash bars though, they're just so damn ugly. I don't know if I have the nerve to tempt fate..... oh yes I do!

I don't know a thing about motorcycles but I really admire your spirit and attitude. BTW, I retired at 52 and wound up going back to the same company but as a contractor, while keeping pension and benefits..yeah, it's double dipping. It's a great way to continue making a nice stack of cash to pay for whatever toys you like. I've bought my fair share of gear, now the focus is on cruise vacations.
I know that you're too young to fully retire. I tell everyone to enjoy life while you're young and healthy.
