i asked a salesperson @ L&M but they are pretty much the only retailer in my area, just want to make sure i'm getting the correct price

How much are they asking?

You can get one on Ebay for $750 US all day long, so factor in exchange, shipping, and duty, and you're probably looking at close to $1,000. OPf course that's for a used one, and no warranty.
