Anyone with experience with A/B/Y boxes? Recommendations? Thanks!

I asked for an ABY and got the Radial engineering - BigShot ABY. Not sure the price, but it has a few switches that can fix some hum problems that develop between two amps. So, I like it.
I know you could get cheaper OR way more expensive ones. If they are too basic, I don't know if they would have the switches to eliminate hum and radio signals that develop.

What you are describing is an isolation transformer.

I like the Radial a/b/y. (My modest collection also includes a basic DOD a/b from the dark ages.) The Radial has the aforementioned isolation transformer, ground lift, and a tuner out jack, all very useful features. Made in Canada too.

Hey, didn't we already discuss this recently?

Peace, Mooh.

I use a Radial Switchbone. It is, by far, the best ABY I have ever used.

plus 1 endorsement on the radial stuff. well built (tank-like), they don't cut the corners they shouldn't, and they're priced reasonably for the good quality level. they have a smaller, simpler switcher, too (read: cheaper).. no IT, i think is the difference? not sure.

I third Radial stuff, I have the passive one around $75 in this area. Works great!

+1 on the Radial Bigshot! Haven't had any problems with it, nor have found a reason to replace it.

I've tried both the Radial Switchbone and the Bigshot. By far, the Switchbone is the way to go if tone is the primary concern. I found that the Bigshot affected tone in a way I did not like.
