OK.... This amp is a Class A with gutso! I tried comparable Mesa, Fender, Dr.Z, Peavey and Vox and there is no doubt that this American made combo is Class A. Eceptional sound (nice voicing options), loves pedals and moves a lot of air even when set to 8 watts. (8/15/30 Pentode/Triode).
I play a Taylor T5-C1, Les Paul Studio, Epi Zack Wilde, Taylor solidbody, Marlique Signature, Washburn Custom HD-35 and a '79 Strat all of which ring like a bell via the Black Pearl!
I also own a Genz Benz SHENPRO accoustic amp which is once again a classic! I understand that the Eagles are using these on their current tour.
All this to say, that Genz Benz have it right! Great build quaility, wonderfull sounding and versatility all in one! Not cheap but well worth the $ when compared to equal value amps!
