I have a touch of microphonics with high gain in my amp. I've tried different tubes and it just seems to be a combination of my amp and guitar. Any ideas?
One thing I noticed as opposed to my other amps is the V1 is not shielded.

Diezel VH-4
My guitar might also be partially to blame but i'm open to trying stuff out

hey al, just play with less gain! in fact, why not switch to playing country music? you know it's where your heart is....
have you wax potted your pickups? have you had the same problem with other guitars? the diezels are ultra-high gain, they're going to bring forth even a very small problem. it could be even a mechanical rattle being picked up, you might want to go through the guitar (assuming it's only this guitar that has the problem). i havent heard anything about tube rings, good or bad, myself.

SO many variables on this one. Worth tapping out all the pre tubes to see if any are particularly microphonic. Long plate 12AX7's can be a bit problematic in ultra high gain combos, i've never had much trouble with the heads, though.
Tube rings help a bit to control mechanical vibration, I find they tame the rattle a bit in EL 84's, I have a couple of sets. I also tend to use them on EF86 tubes, they seem to help the microphonic tendency in these. I haven't used them on 12AX7's.

Yeah it's not the preamp tubes, I've tried a bunch and they are fine. It's not terrible or anything, I just run the amp at the edge of where it starts to feedback so it's nice and juicy, and sometimes it gets away on me!
It could very well be something mechanical on the guitar, for instance the bridge resonates quite a bit when playing etc.
