My kid plays a Peavey 6505+ head - rythym channel - lead channel switchable with the included Peavey foot switch. The prob were looking at solving is my son likes to have different effects on the lead channel and different effects on the rythym channel. This amp has a effects loop that 's always on both channels.

He absolutely hates tap dancing on pedals. When he goes into a lead now, he has to stomp on 3 pedals, the amp channel, step on the delay, add some chorus and then do the reverse to return to his rythym channel, turn the above above effects off and then step on his EQ and compressor.

So I read somewhere, with some amps you could run a signal in to both the lead / rythym inputs then buy an A+B switch and run the guitar into the box and set up the effects chain after the box to run into there respective channels. Then you would have two channels with their own signal chain. So, can you use both rythym/lead inputs at the same time and then switch the amp channels back and forth.

We cant afford a switching system right now so, we gotta come up with some compromise.

P.S I AM STUPID WHEN I HAULED THE AMP FROM MY KIDS ROOM I SAW THERE IS ONLY ONE INPUT DOH!!! SHOUD'VE LOOKED BEFORE I POSTED. i am closing in on 50YRS old so please be kind to senoirs.

When I had 3 Boss pedals in a row that were either all 3 on, or all 3 off, I had a board across the switches. 1 step on the borad switched all 3 pedals.

Dang! That is so simple and so effective that it's brilliant! I would always try to stomp on a couple pedal simultaneously, which isn't hard, but sometimes doesn't work 100% flawlessly. But this is sheer genius! Why didn't I think of that???
