Did anyone hear anything about a number of pricey PRS guitars going missing or stolen?

Well if you think there is a chance it's stolen, call the police and see if they have anything on record. Better safe than sorry.

I think you are missing the point of calling the police... You are inquiring to see if a particular guitar has been reported stolen, not reporting the guy. If that make, model, color etc matches something stolen then pass the sellers name to the police.

I must say, you have some pretty lousy police services if they blab every anonymous inquiry to the general public.
