So, I'm in the process of having a friend work on an amp for me. He's putting together all the electronics etc, and I'm doing the cabinetry.
The amp itself is going to be two channels: the first (clean) based on marshall 18 watt, and the second is a little dirtier, based on the Orange AD30.
I'm building the head and cab cabinetry (?) based on some AC30 style schematics I found over at music-electronics-forum.com. For cost effectiveness, I was thinking about using 3/4"x12" white pine as the construction material (I have access to a planer, joiner, etc, so hopefully that won't be an issue).
Speaker-wise, I've decided to go with a 2x12 cab loaded with 1 hellatone 30 and 1 hellatone 60. Still up in the air with regards to tolex/grillcloth and the fnishing touches. :zzz:
Any thoughts/suggests/tips from builders or the general public? This will be my first project, and it's still in the early stages, so any tips can still be incorporated!
