POD 2.0 question

Sorry if the question's been answered before, tried searching but pod and/or 2.0 are too short for the search to recognize.

Just got a POD 2.0 as part of a trade, got it running with my Spider III 30 amp.
My question is-where should I put the amp settings? (Drive/Bass/Mid/Treble) Dial them right off, right in the middle, cranked?

The manual says to run the amp flat,each patch has a pre-set for bass, mid and treble. You can tweak the patches you want to use and just save them over the stock one.
If you have a computer and a midi cable, go to the Line 6 site and download their editing software for the pod 2. You can edit most anything from it easier with that than you can holding down buttons and turning dials. You can also download different tone patches and try them out from the site.
2 things I never liked about mine was a) getting patches to the same relative volume and b) tweaking a descent patch at home and then going out to a gig and they'd sound like crap at a higher volume.
I kind of gave up and just use it at home with headphones.
