These seem like good buys for what you get>>> anybody have anything negative to say... or is it all good..

its all good. i own a C7 blackjack taht i bought used, it had the neck repaired/put back on?, and it's been dinged up. still has amazing playability and sound, the feel is great.
I've played a few of the 6 models, and the first one i ever played was an omen 6. my goodness did i ever fly on that! felt great, good tone (used it with a flextone on plexi mode), real comfy.
I plan on buying another schecter or two. I highly recommend them, especially used - they are a steal.

I had a 006 Elite that I got new for $350 a few years ago...it was defiintely a great guitar for that price.

I am normally a fan of 'traditional' guitars so they are mainly all I buy. But I think Schecter makes some really great looking instruments that are a treat to play. Some of the designs are a cool mix of 'retro' and new designs.

Ya I would definatly recommend looking at their older stuff, 70's and 80's. Players like Pete Townsend and Mark Knopfler both used Schecters. I haven't been impressed with their newer instruments, but their vintage stuff is terrific

I used to sell Schecter guitars back a few years ago at my old job. I personally find them to be hit or miss. The upper end ones in the Diamond series that are made in Korea are superb, but the lower end ones don't seem that well built. For the money, they're some of the best guitars you can get in terms of features and build quality. Far superior to the cheaper Ibanez, Jackson and ESP LTD stuff.
I should note that the Korean made Schecters are actually made by the same factory that produces the ESP LTD Deluxe line of guitars.
