Fender 75 1x15 combo

I was thinking about buying a Fender 75 combo off of a guy but I would like to hear some other opinions on the amp first and also to see what kind of applications everyon is using them for and how they perform. Send me your opionions.

Never played one but always been intriqued by them....there are three common observations: 1. they are way too heavy for a combo 2. They are prone to running hot and eat tubes 3. they sound incredible, especially the ones with 15"speaker.

The sound was great when it worked. Shorted several tubes and burned the hum pot. A cap across one of the preamp tubes shorted. A resistor failed in the power supply. All those problems and it was never even gigged with...just home use. I bought it new in '83 and had a tough time selling it in '91
