My guess is to cover all 8 strings with 3 or 4 p/u's. Two standard humbuckers for the 6 standard guitar strings and I'll be guessing the other is for a p-bass style pickup lined up back to back for the 2 other, possible high bass strings.

Just a guess, thats the way I personally might do something like this. It looks like a beast and probably will play like one.

The top route is for the bass pickup, and the two lower are for the guitar pickups.

I've seen a demo on youtube with a guy playing a guitar with fanned frets. That's got to be hard to play. My brain can't even understand how this is posssible. :confused-smiley-010

I've been playing classical & jazz solo for ever now. I tryed a Novax about 6 months ago & loved it. It'll probably take another lifetime to be any good at this , but that's what it's all about. This should be an awesome guitar when it's done.
