i've been looking for one of these for awhile now...well a gibson, but for the price this could be a very good alternative.

Cool, I used to own 2 Gibson (not Epiphone) Nighthawks back in the early 90's. The range of tones you could get out of those guitars was pretty impressive and I never really should have sold them. The second one I owned had a pull switch on one of the tone controls which gave you 5 additional tones in addition to the 5 tones you already had. It was the most versatile guitar, tone wise, that I've ever owned. I've seen some Nighthawks on Ebay and I'm surprised at how much people want for them.

I've seen 2 Gibbys for sale around here in the past 2 years, one was incredibly over priced (1400?) and the other was modded so much it hardly even looked like one. Almost all the Gibsons I've seen on ebay didnt ship to canada tho. I picked this one up for just over 400 shipped, and its in really good condition.

I remember seeing these when they came out--I thought they looked odd, but I still wanted to try one. Never got the chance.

That looks really cool in a funky way cuz of the slanted pick-up. How much did it cost? And what's the neck like compared to std epiphone or Gibson LPs? Similar neck profile?

I paid $400 for it w/shipping. The neck on everyone i've played is similar to a Les Paul 60's slim taper...maybe even a bit narrower than that. And 25 1/2" scale too. Not the regular 24 3/4. Very nice
