Anyone here have any experience with these amps? I'm finding nothing but good reviews. I'm on his waiting list for a tweed 5E3 (D-Lux), but it's a months long wait.

I owned a Champster Special that I regret selling to this day. Fantastic amp.

I also had a SuperDawg, which was a nice amp but just totally didn't suit my needs. I thought I was going to start gigging again, so I wanted something with more power than the Champster. So I sold the Champtser to buy the Superdawg, than the gigging project never happened.

Jim is an absolute treat to deal with. One of the best buying experiences I ever had.

I bought Torndownunit's Champster Special and I agree it's a great, wonderful tone machine.
It's simplicity is what brought me to it.
It sounds great with single coils, humbuckers and P90's and the character of each guitar shines though.

The Champster covers a lot of ground.
I've done some smaller club gigs with it and it kills.

Unfortunately, most of my gigs lately are larger and with bigger bands (can you say 10-piece band with horns) but it will definitely get the call again....

I've also talked with Jim on a number of occasions and agree he's great to deal with and his customer service is top notch.

Good luck with yours.
