I just put new pickups and electronics into a guitar body project I had been working on a while ago. But everything isn't wired/soldered together yet. Haven't gotten around to doing it. So i decided to take it to a shop and have them do it quickly.
Where is a good place in toronto to get this done. I was thinking of taking it to long and mcquade. How much does it normally cost just to wire the pickups and stuff? I hope it won't cost too much. It's just soldering the wires together. Everything is in its place. It's not like I'm getting a full set up for anything.
Thanks guys.

Rydock...This is usuallly a very quick thing to complete, if you are reasonably OK using a soldering iron and you have the wiring diagram handy (unless it is something like an ES 335).
Sure you don't want to just do it yourself, since most of the work is done anyway?

I can't imagine myself walking into any type of shop where I don't have a repore with the techs and getting anything done while I wait - so I can't see it getting done quickly.
The job might only take 15 to 20 minutes to do, but you might have to wait a week or two to get in on a bench, unless you're really lucky, pay a premium for while you wait service or have areally good looking girlfriend...

even I ...yes I...can solder electronics into place, I always take another of my guitars like the one I want to rewire, remove the pickguard or control plate, and just copy what I see one wire at a time. So far it`s worked like a charm for a guy who never had any electrical training and who freely admits to being extremely limited in knowledge of that sort...I do know this though...electricity and water...bad combination. I`m sure there are web sites that could walk you through it too. Now, on the weekend I brought my hollow body in to be rewired... I know I`d be wanting to throw it out the window after a time of trying to get into those tight little places to solder, so I let a more experienced pair of hands do that for me on that one...worth the $40.oo they are charging me.

I have problems changing tubes in an amp, let alone trying to solder. There are at least a half dozen places in T.O. that can doe this. Finding at tech you can start something long term with is a good idea.
As for places - Capsule, Songbird, Steve's (off site I think), Kaos, 12th Fret, Ring Music. Couple more east end places I can't remember the names of
