Hi Guys
I'm using a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe, and I'm wondering about adding a volume Brake, seems my wife thinks it's too loud for my daily practice :confused-smiley-010.This amp has a very touchy volume pot, so I was thinking of building a volume brake.
I am running tuner, wha ,comp and OD into input 1 then I run delay, trem, and chorus into the loop. I'm assuming the volume brake goes inline after the effects placed in the loop????
Is it easier to just take the amp to a tech and install a good volume pot? I have been quoted around $60 and a week downtime for a tech to install a audio taper volume pot. For me to build the volume brake cost's about $15 (parts from radio scrap) no downtime...
Here's the volume brake
