Ya I know this isn't amp related but I prefer talking to the amp ppl since this is where it all began... for me.

Anyway now I can finally get some of my stuff/ideas/band practices recorded!!!

http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Fostex-MR16HDCD-16-Track-Digital-Recorder-with-CD-Burner?sku=701049

With a 20% discount 2yr extended warranty and 9 sets of strings = $508!!!

I'm so stoked to finally do some recording tracks to stick online!!!

Oh to make this amp related, I tried something with the Legacy to clear up the sound a little and surprisingly tame the bass and give it a more aggressive distortion. CRANK THE MIDS TO 8!!!!:rockon2:

I used to have the setting
Presence 7 Treble 7 Mid 5 bass 4 and overdrive 6-7.... made it sound like there was a blanket over the speakers (never really noticed until the 5150 wasn't there)

Now with the settings Presence 7 Treble 6 Mid 8 Bass 6 and overdrive... umm I think I left it at 6.5, it's sounding awesome.
Now awaiting the 5150....:rockon2:

I remember my friend had one of those in the early 90's. We were all impressed at the fact that it could reverse the tracks and play them backwards. LOL.

That new recorder is gonna keep you busy for weeks. Congrats.

Hey Gregg

Once I get the 5150 back we should set up a time so you can hear those WGS Veteran 30 speakers. Also so I could give that amp you made a try.

Oh ya! That's something I learned from Tom Morello. To get a real aggressive tone I crank my mid to 11. Actually, I even went further and wired in a 10k resister between the mid pot and ground for even more mid boost (learned this from the Tone Lizard's JCM800 mods). Then tonight, I even gave a bit more mids with the GE-7 equalizer pedal. Did I overdo it? Not when rocking as hard as I did tonight:rockon2: YAAA!!!
Tom Morello knows his stuff. I nominate him as a guitar legend if he isn't already.
