I went over to a friends house over the Christmas Holidays and they had versions 2 and 3. They also had the new dance game. All three are the exact same game, only the dance game has a mat instead of a guitar.
Now Beach Vollyball - There is a game!

Well when you move back to NS, you can come over here and try it out. I say it's good for movement when you have little motivation or inspiration to play a real guitar.

IU finally saw the South Park episode about Guitar Hero... and I have to agree....
"Congratulations... You've played guitar hero enough to earn 1 million points.... YOU ARE FAGS!"
LOL
Pretty much summed up how I feel about the game....
I laughed my ass off earlier in the episode... "real guitars are for old people."
Happy to be old!

Shorlty after the kids where back at school after the holiday break, kids where asked to bring in some games and what not.
Of course GH was brought in.
To my amazement both of my boys refused to play, they got teased a bit by the older kids for not being "cool"enough to play.
the following thursday they had show and tell, both of my boys wanted to bring in their acoustics and my little Custom amp.I dropped them off at school and decieded to stay to see what they where going to do.
Well thewy got infront of the class and busted out "help" from the beatles.
Blew all those hero's away.
I am sooo friggin' proud

Its a good game, but NOT that good. I've had it for a while now (1 + 2 for the Playstation 2), about a year and a half.
It was fine and dandy until the XBox 360 version came out and everybody and their grandmas got it. Mention video games any time and GH would come up. Most of the people that I've talked to can't do hard or expert because of the ONE extra fret
It was even worse when the 3rd one came out...
Learn to play a real instrament!

It's a game and it's fun.
Telling people to learn guitar instead of playing the game is kind of silly.
If you want to play guitar play the guitar if you want to play guitar hero, play it. They are really unrelated.

It's over-priced Touch Me....

But if that's what you wanna spend your time doing... It's your time to waste.

I guess they are but to be honest. Even though I used to play games years ago and I can understand why someone would, I am still somewhat baffled by the interest in guitar hero. When I first saw the commercial for it I thought "wow is this going to be a flop!".
I guess I know nothing!

People are lazy, guitar hero is much easier than a real guitar.

I was talking with one of the sales guys at L&M a few weeks ago. I asked him if the popularity of Guitar Hero has led more people to buy real guitars. His response was, "No. Not really. What is has led to, though, is more guys who will come in and buy a guitar in the morning... and then return it in the afternoon."
LOL, they get home realize that there are more than 5 buttons and give up.

I have to say that I enjoy GH. It's a great party game, and allows for time for people who don't play the instrument to at least have fun. SOme of the songs are a challenge, and some make for a great warm-up to actually picking up an axe.
