...I'm curious. They've always sort of been there in the background but I've never had a chance to plug into one. There's a good deal on a Clubman 35 head and cab ($1900) on Ottawa's CL right now and I have to admit I'm really intrigued.
How would you run a single channel, Class A amp like this in a live situation? Does it stay clean at higher volumes and you push it with a boost or an overdrive/distortion pedal for your dirty sounds? Does it chew through tubes at high rate because it's always running them in Class A mode?
