Anyone tried it?
Anyone like it?
Anyone hate it?

I would think it would inhibit top vibration wouldn't it?

Doesn't their 'science' seem to suggest otherwise?

Increased volume I see. I'm more concerned about frequency.

That said I haven't tried one, so my thoughts do you no good.

I haven't tried one either, so we can be no good together!

I've tried the JLD in 2 guitars: a Breedlove, which incorporates it into the design, and a Harmony Sovereign. It's really interesting. The sustain is increased, in duration and complexity, and the attack is compressed. Not to a noticeable degree, but if you play a note really hard it seems to grow louder after the initial attack. Really weird, and pretty neat. I'll look through my old magazines for the title, but there was a review in which the device was tried on several guitars. One of the points made was that it really seemed to work on "cheap" instruments. There are two models: one installed with a screw through the bridge, and another that uses special bridge pins. Have fun.
